Pool Closing
Pool Closing Information
Winterizing or "closing" your pool can be the most important function that is done throughout the season. You may incur numerous problems in the spring if the pool is closed incorrectly, which can be extremely expensive to rectify. For this reason, many pool owners have an experienced, professional pool company close their pool.
We highly recommend that you keep your pump running and your pool clean until we close your pool. Add Natural Chemistry Spring and Fall 1-2 weeks prior to your pool closing date. You should also bring us a water sample two days before your closing date so the water is balanced during the winter. This can help preserve the life of your pool surface and save on chemical costs in the spring.
Above Ground Pool Closing:
Because of the numerous sizes and conditions, all above ground pools are charged on a time and materials basis. The average closing price ranges from $175.00 - $250.00. There is a $175.00 minimum charge and a $100.00 deposit required to reserve a closing date.
A trip charge is assessed when applicable.
Above ground pool closing consists of skimming and vacuuming your pool as best possible; lowering the water to the proper level; removing all baskets, ladders, and accessories; winterizing the equipment; and installing the winter cover. Air pillows under the cover are not necessary. Many of the large interior steps are left in the pool per the manufacturer's instructions. Chemical balance should be done prior to the pool closing by the homeowner.
In-Ground Pool Closing:
Pool Size Under 16' x 32': $345.00
Pool Size 16' X 32' and Over: $395.00
We will skim and vacuum the pool as best possible, lower the water to the proper level, and remove all ladders, handrails, cleaners, lights if necessary, and accessories. We then blow out all of the pool plumbing lines; drain and winterize the pump, filter, and heater; and add anti-freeze where necessary. Our crew then installs the winter cover. There is a $100.00 deposit required to reserve a closing date. A trip charge is assessed when applicable. Chemical balance should be done prior to the pool closing by the homeowner.
Inground pools may deduct $100.00 if the homeowner cleans the pool and lowers the water level.
Inground pools with auto-covers may deduct $50.00.
