Pool Openings
The pool season is almost here!
It's time to start thinking about sunny summer days relaxing out by the pool. But before you can do that you need to get the pool opened!
All of our experienced pool technicians are back this year and ready to go. These award-winning technicians have attended numerous training seminars this winter to keep abreast of all of the new products that are on the market today.
So, here is our pool opening information that explains the services we offer. Please review the next few pages and fill out the form so we can try to reserve the date that you would prefer. You may not get the date that you request if you delay sending the form in so please fill it out and return it as soon as possible.
We are once again offering to install the Nature2 Express mineral sanitizer on pools up to 25,000 gallons at no charge for labor. This system has proven itself for years to be one of the best ways to keep your pool water clear and algae-free all summer long. The Express system price is $149.99 and the annual replacement cartridge price is $109.99. Please make note of this on your opening form if you would like us to install this system or replacement cartridge for you when we open your pool.
Our Spring Newsletter will be mailed out shortly, which will have information regarding our Annual Store Supply Sale, which runs from April 25–May 4. This is a great time to stock up on all of your pool supplies and equipment for the season.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you need any major equipment repairs or installation. We will schedule this prior to your opening and you will receive the sale price on any equipment that we install.
We would also be more than happy to deliver any chemicals or products you may need at the time of your pool opening. Just make a note of it on the opening form.

Pool Opening Information Sheet
Above Ground Pools:
Minimum $205.00. Save 10% off you pool opening price if you open by April 15. We will drain, clean, and store the pool cover, vacuum the bottom, and brush the walls of the pool as best possible assuming we can see the bottom, install the ladder, pool fittings, and hoses. If someone is home, we will start the pool filling and if possible, start up and test the filter system and heater. If the pool is not full, we will test the filter system and heater and leave it ready for you to start up once the pool is full.
Because of the numerous sizes and conditions of above ground pools, you will be charged on a time and material basis at $72.00 per man hour plus any applicable travel charges. Laborers' rate is $45.00 per hour. There is a $205.00 minimum charge to open any above ground pool. The average opening price is $205-$325. There is a $100.00 deposit required, refundable upon 48-hour cancellation notice less a $10.00 processing fee.
Note: Any pool that is partially inground with a deck around it is usually considered an inground pool.
Inground Vinyl Liner & Fiberglass Pools:
Under 16'x32': $415.00
16'x32' and over: $515.00. Save 10% off your opening price if opened by April 15. Less $50 for auto-covers.
We will drain, clean, and store the pool cover, vacuum the bottom and brush the walls of the pool as best possible assuming we can see the bottom, lubricate and lower any deck anchors, set up all pool deck equipment and the filtration system, test and install any underwater lights, and start the pool filling. Call us when the pool is filled so we can then come back and start up the pump, heater, and inspect your equipment (if we were unable to do this when we opened the pool). Any repairs necessary or additional spa opening work will be charged on a time and materials basis. There is a $100.00 deposit required, refundable upon 48-hour cancellation notice.
Weekly Cleaning Service:
$65.00 per week plus chemicals; $10 more for larger pools or pools with spas
We also offer a weekly inground or above ground pool cleaning service. This service will help keep your pool in tiptop shape with minimal effort on your part.
We will check and adjust the chemistry, clean/backwash the filter, clean skimmer and pump baskets, vacuum, brush, skim the pool, and clean the tile line.
Filter Sand Changes:
Above ground pools filters: $85.00 plus sand
Inground (larger) filters: $TBA plus sand
Pools that use Baquacil should have their filter sand changed every year.
Pools that use any type of chlorine should have their filter sand changed every 3-5 years.
We will be doing some sand changes prior to your opening date. We will call you to schedule this.
Due to the overwhelming workload in the spring, we will not be doing inground pool filter sand changes during the pool opening season. We recommend that your filter sand be replaced prior to opening the pool, which saves you $25.00. We will schedule this work prior to April 15 or after June 20.
